PROTEST RALLIES AT
THE LIBERTY SQUARE
The series of concerts
entitled "Song has kept us going" started in Belgrade on 28th March 1999, four
days after the NATO strikes against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Several thousands
of people gather at the Liberty Square, protesting against the NATO bombing. The attacks
against the country have united numerous political parties in the common anti-warrally -
excluding all the party symbols.
The most famous artists of the domestic music scene have daily participated in these
concerts and there have been many guest artists from frendly countries. The announsed air
raids have not had any influence on these concerts - rallies taking place.
