VILA ing. ALEKSANDRA ACOVIĆA

Izgrađena je 1934. godine, prema projektu koji je uradio arhitekta Vladislav Vladisavljević. Za vreme II svetskog rata u nju se uselio feldmaršal Aleksandar Ler, komandant jugoistoka Trećeg Rajha. Od 1948. do 1980. kuća je rezidencija predsednika Josipa Broza Tita. Između 1982. i 1995. godine ona pripada kompleksu "Memorijalnog centra Josip Broz Tito". Godine 1995. vila postaje rezidencija predsednika Slobodana Miloševića. U ovoj zgradi je bio smešten veliki broj dela likovne i primenjene umetnosti eminentnih stvaralaca kao što su: Sava Šumanović, Milo Milunović, Nadežda Petrović, Krsto Hegedušić, Antun Augustinčić, Ivan Meštrović... Avioni NATO pakta bombardovali su je 22. arila 1999, oko 04č.

THE VILLA OF ENGINEER ALEKSANDAR ACOVIĆ

It was built in 1934, according to the design of architect Vladislav Vladisavljević. During the World War II it was inhabited by Field Marshal Alexander Ler, the Third Reich commander of the south-east. Between 1948 and 1980 it was a residence of president Josip Broz Tito. Between 1982 and 1995 it belonged to the "Memorial center Josip Broz Tito" complex. In 1995 the villa became a residence of president Slobodan Milošević. Many works of fine and applied arts by eminent artists were placed here such as: Sava Šumanović, Milo Milunović, Nadežda Petrović, Krsto Hegedušić, Antun Augustinčić, Ivan Meštrović... The NATO planes bombed it on 22nd April, 1999, about
4.00 AM.
